January 2007: WNBA Meeting—I served on a panel with authors Tracy Barrett and Helen Hemphill discussing the current trends in young adult literature.

April 2007: Attended the Southern Kentucky Book Festival in Bowling Green!

May 2007: I spent a fun week at NCS reading The Legend of Zoey to the fourth graders!

June 2007: My article entitled "How to Plot Your Middle Grade Novel" debuted in the June issue of The Writer magazine!

Attended the Knox County Book Festival!

August 2007: Attended the national SCBWI conference in Los Angeles. See my blog to read all about it!

My article entitled "Ten (Giant but Essential) Steps to Getting There" debuted in the 2008 edition of Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market.

September 2007: Reading at the Belle Meade Book Club.

Attended the SCBWI-Midsouth Conference. I serve as the co-coordinator of this event, along with Genetta Adair. This was my fifth year to coordinate the conference, and I think it's the best yet! Visit the Midsouth site!
